Podiatry and Chioropody

Podiatry and Chiropody

Podiatry and Chiropody involves the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of foot and lower limb disorders, providing specialist foot care whether you are an adult or child.

Our Podiatry team also addresses pain in the legs, knees, hips and back, and looks into the way your feet function during standing and walking.

At the Boldon Practice, our Chiropodists and Podiatrists are HPc registered and can assist you with the necessary treatment and advice required to put bounce back in you step.

Podiatric Care

Podiatric Care is required for many foot problems commonly experienced by senior citizens. These can include anything from routine palliative care of unmanageable toenails and calluses to diabetic ulcerations and infections. At this time in life, circulatory impairment, as well as degenerative joint and skin conditions are common findings.

With proper care and attention to their feet, seniors may enjoy many years of pain-free foot function.

Early correction

Examination of children’s feet is also an integral part of podiatry. Frequently, children have structural imbalances of the feet that may go unrecognized and can lead to other deformities and imbalances within the skeletal system.

When detected early, these imbalances of the feet, some of which are related to the bone structure, are treated so that a sturdier foundation can be provided for the later years.
