Laser scan orthotics
The Westoe Practice is one of only a handful of clinics in the UK to use a 3d optical laser scanner to capture an exact model of your feet and their many contours.
This enables carbon fibre Orthotics, (precisely customised insoles), to be manufactured with CAD CAM technology.
The realtime interactive foot image displays dimensions and rotating 3D views and is transmitted to the lab for the manufacture of accurate, reliable and repeatable orthotics.
The Orthotic shell
Custom-made foot orthotics are devices worn in your shoes that provide correction and assistance to your feet, helping them to perform in a more efficient manner.
Poor foot function may be the cause of pain you are experiencing in your feet, knees, hips or back. Prescription orthotics can help relieve your discomfort by realigning and stabilizing the bones in your feet, in turn restoring your natural walking pattern.
Designed to fit inside normal footwear Orthotics work by improving foot and leg function and alignment, correcting over Pronation or Suppination.
Orthotics can be likened to having the tyres balanced on a car, improving foot and leg alignment, reducing injury and pain. Further information can be found here… Biomechanical Assesment
